The Death Note anime has got to be one of top 10 animes I have watched to date. It was also the most intellectual and interesting animes I have ever watched. The range of character personalities is awesome. Some characters are sick and twisted (Light and Ryuk), some characters are mysterious and interesting (Lawliet/L), and some are just down right annoying (Misa Amane). Death Note was released as a 37 episode anime (both dubbed and subbed), two live action movies, and a manga. It had receieved quite a following and despite being first released a few years ago, Death Note's followings and fans are still many. Death Note Summary

College Student Light Yagami finds a mysterious notebook named the "Death Note". This notebook used to belong to a shinigami - a god of death - named Ryuk. He opens the notebook to find instructions on how to use it, the first one being: The person whos name is written in this notebook shall die Light plays it off as a joke, until he actually tries to use it. The argument goes on and on: dubbed or subbed. Some people say watching the dubbed version takes away a lot from the feel of the anime, and I have to agree.
